"Mystery Letter" (1976) To President Ford ...

Mr. Temme has "always" kept his personal life very private, in his "Memoirs" to be published in the far future he "reveals" his life with the ASC (American Security Council) in the 1970s and 1980s... The following letter was sent to Mr. Temme from Senator William Proxmire, (Wisconsin).
 The letter is dated October 19, 1976...

Dear Mark:

 Thanks so much for your recent letter regarding American
foreign policy.
 I agree with the general thrust of your answers to the
questionaire. In line for your request for additional information
on the Soviet military budget, I am enclosing a just-released
hearing I conducted last May and June with representatives of the
Central Intelligence Agency on military resources in the Soviet
Union and China. I think that this will provide the most up-to-date
information that is available. I have also forwarded your letter
to President Ford, as you requested.  If I can be of further assistance,
please don't hesitate to let me know.

Note:   Mr. Temme's letter forwarded to President Ford by Senator Proxmire, to date remains a "mystery". Some possible speculations "suggest" intelligence gathering about the Kremlin, and KGB Vlad Putin... 
Mr. Temme has "declined" to reveal the letter's context or subject matter forwarded  to President Ford all those years ago...

Interesting to note was Mr. Temme's visit to Frau Wolf's guest haus in Mutter's, Austria the
following spring in 1977. Frau Wolf was an 'alleged' KGB  contact.
